Building a Welcoming Tennis Community

Asian local tennis community gathering

Tennis can sometimes feel like a lonely sport.

While we often see friends, couples or families playing together, there are also many people who simply want a place to show up, hit some balls, meet others and feel part of something.

Some may be new to tennis. Some may have stopped playing because they had no one to play with. Others may simply be looking for a regular activity outside of work and their usual routines.

And perhaps that is something worth remembering: tennis does not always have to be about finding someone at your level, winning points or improving technique.

Sometimes, it can simply be a way for people to connect.

Beginners can play alongside more experienced players. Regular players can welcome someone new. Singles, couples, friends and families can all share the same court and enjoy the game in their own way.

Because a good tennis community should not feel like separate groups.

It should feel like a place where you can come as you are, move, hit, laugh, improve and gradually get to know the people around you.

Different people bring different energy to the court — and that is what makes the game more enjoyable.

At TennisWithGlenn, I hope tennis can be more than just a lesson.

A place to keep moving, keep playing, and feel that there is always someone to rally with. 🎾
