Wimbledon And Grass Court.

Wimbledon is probably deemed as the popular Grand Slam among the four annually. As we all know it is played on grass and it is not a common surface in Singapore. However, if I am not mistaken we can still find grass courts at Singapore Cricket Club.

Some condos do have synthetic grass but I am not a fan of the surface probably because of growing used to hard courts in Singapore. Having said that, we could certainly work on a few things such as balance, good clearance of the net because of the low bounce on the surface and perhaps less spin.

However, it does have some comfort for the knees since it is of a softer surface. I guess there are some pros and cons while playing on grass or synthetic grass in Singapore. A trade off. Whatever the court is, we should probably look at how to adapt and make the most out of the game by figuring out what game change to adopt even for simple things like keeping a rally going.

For me,to have a cooperative rally, how I might do that would probably be getting a great shape of the shot to ensure net clearance with less of an eastern grip and be closer to the area of the ball bounce expecting a lower bounce and a quicker reaction.
