Why Customized Tennis Lessons Enhance Performance

Customizing and tailoring coaching is a great approach and adapts to the needs of the student.

Observation & Feedback

Active coaching can be in form of understanding the pain points of the student and then make adjustments to the coaching during the real-time feedback.

This is great because as a tennis coach trying to uncover the pain points of a part of the technique is crucial. It may not come as obvious and might need probing to learn more about it. Some student might find it awkward to perform a stroke or technique.

Customization

This is why private tennis lesson beats being in a group setting is where customizing the lesson needs of the individual. While maintaining the core goal of the correction and adjusting to the clients mental and physical boundaries. I had some correction done for a unit turn for a client and she just found it uncomfortable shortening the preparation with some earlier motion with wrist setting to the side, and we simplifed to not focusing on that and keeping it open to quickening reaction time in her own interpretation.

Progressive Development

Its great to get feedback from your tennis coach the technique correction and nurturing within your own space of comfort. Overtime, it can progressively be more ingrained of the technique so do give it some time. Many just want to be able to rally in the shortest time possible. This is easier said than done and has so many factors to give a definite time period.
